A Different Kind of Horse Racing

Much like when Alderaan was blown to smithereens by the Death Star, I felt the sudden cry of a million souls when minding my own business the other day I heard THIS said……(are you ready?)

*”I don’t know why this dog fighting this is such a big deal against Michael Vick. It’s just like Horse Racing.”

Ummmmmmmmm.

WHAT?

As the entire Bluegrass State lost it’s mind in Unison over feeling the vibe from the insanity of those words, I tried to keep my OWN head from exploding and said “What sort of horse racing do you DO around here anyway?”

I would like to just state, for the record, for anyone who is confused the following information:

*Horse racing is not like dogfighting.
*The only people who think that dogfighting is wrong are not doglovers. Personally I think dogs are annoying as shit.
*Michael Vick is not being persecuted.

But, thanks for playing. Please pull forward to the first window.

Committed to Doing the RIGHT THING

I just sat down, while eating my grilled peanut butter sandwich made lovingly by my SAHD husband, and read Arthur Blank’s Letter to the Fans.

Hmmmm.

You’re committed to doing the RIGHT THING Arthur? Well let’s look at this another way, let’s look at it in terms of another profession. Let’s let the legality and the “due process” of another well established organization light your way.

The LAW ENFORCEMENT departments across America routinely suspend with pay officers suspected of infractions of code or law. Police action shooting? Suspended with pay pending investigation. Officer accused of abuse/wrong doing of some ilk? Suspended with pay pending investigation.

We hear it all the time.

So why, when it’s a spoiled rotten prima donna athlete who on a good day is a thug and on a bad day is allegedly sociopathically abusive to animals do we hear that they are going to wait and see? Wait and see.

I didn’t say convict the guy out of court. I didn’t say don’t pay him, or fire him. But until he comes out on the other side of this, I think it’s embarrassing to continue to allow him to wear a Falcons Uniform. If he were cleared – then a HUGE wave of support should come and he should be welcomed back with a ticker tape parade. But until then, just allowing him to play like nothing is wrong is ridiculous.

I guess that’s why I’m a Colts Fan. Irsay wouldn’t take this kind of crap for one hot minute.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but as a Bucs fan, I have to say THANK YOU JEEBUS!

Joey Harrington sucks.

I mean – dogfighting is wrong! It is inhumane! The whole thing is shocking.

Fine. I really mean I hope Vick is in prison for both of the Tampa Bay/Atlanta games this year.

Assuming Senor Mexico is guilty.
