The 2011 College Football bowl season is almost over. Thank God. (And if you know me, you know that is a hard statement to make.)

Oh don’t tell me you haven’t noticed how awful it’s been, and not just the ‘lesser’ non-BCS bowls.

This season has been the poster child for a playoff system in college football, and if I wasn’t convinced before, I am now.

Arkansas Player Uekman Dead at 19

Arkansas tight end Garret Uekman was found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest in his dorm room Sunday morning. He was later pronounced dead at a Fayetteville hospital

College Football Recap – Week 8

Clearly the college football gods read my weekly recaps here. This is how I ended last week’s post:

Next week has some big match-ups and I for one will be hoping for some upsets. We haven’t had enough of those this season for my liking.

And hoo boy, did we get some amazing games and some AWESOME upsets! I just woke up from my drunken stupor from all my Saturday celebrating on Monday morning, just to write this post!

High School Football Player Backs Away from USC Commitment and I Laugh

"One day, all of this crap will be yours." "Gee, thanks."

USC just cannot catch a break. I love it.

Arik Armstead, considered to be the top offensive/defensive line prospect on the West Coast by sports folks who care about such things, originally committed to the University of Spoiled Children Trojans football program on June 19, 2010. For those playing along at home, that’s nine days after the NCAA smacked down the program for what they called “improper benefits” given to then-Heisman Trophy winner and current Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush.
