After a topsy-turvy weekend of college football, where Florida stole headlines and Georgia hit the snooze button, Crappy and I are just trying to stay afloat this week. So naturally, we decide to be distracted by some postseason baseball.
Yes, ladies and gents, welcome to one of the shortest episodes of the CnCShow ever … recorded 45 minutes before the first pitch of the NL Wild Card Game. As you can tell by our smiling faces, we had no idea what would unfold later that evening.
(NOTE: Pirates fans, if you wish to spare yourself the agony, stop watching at the 15:07 mark. It’s OK. It’s tough for us, too.)
Despite the brevity of our discussion, this weekend packs a punch with a trio of games that probably wouldn’t have been on anyone’s radar at the season’s onset:
- Can Northwestern stake its claim to being a legit Big Ten contender against Michigan?
- Is Florida prime for a let-down game against Missouri?
- Will Utah be able to handle the big-time stage of College Gameday … and that prolific Cal offense?
This week’s already gotten off to a crazy start, thanks to Washington’s upset over USC at the Coliseum on Thursday night. Where could it possibly go from here?
All Crappy and I know is that we’re trying really hard not to suck. And we’re still pretty sad about baseball.
