Jon Gruden on Monday Night Football

I realize that this post will make me sound like 1) a homer, 2) a girl and 3) paid by ESPN but I assure you, I am only the first two.

Jon Gruden is coming to Monday Night Football.

Excuse me for a moment.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Even better – he is replacing Tony Kornheiser, who has been annoying me on Mondays for years now.
So thank you ESPN. It isn’t even my birthday.
Now if you wouldn’t mind moving the Monday night games just a smidge earlier that would be great. I understand the whole Pacific Time Zone dilemma, but I have to get up early on Tuesdays.

Goon Squad Sarah lives in the Washington D.C. suburbs and spends a lot of time obsessing about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Washington Capitals, fantasy football, and explaining to her seven-year-old twins why they don't root for the Redskins in their house. Sarah is also a sucker for the Orlando Magic and is still trying to choose between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Washington Nationals. If you can't get enough of Sarah here you can also find her writing at Sarah and the Goon Squad, That's right. You heard me., BlogHer, or myriad other sites, depending on the day. She also sits on the advisory board of Women Talk Sports.

He is eye candy, isn’t he. Let’s hope he can also talk to the masses without sounding like a rock.

I’m on the west coast and second the earlier start. One hour would not be a problem. Or less commercial breaks? They’re all the same anyway. I remember living on the east coast and ALWAYS being tired and late on Tuesdays.
